AAU League Team - Rising & Current High School Boys

Alhamdulilaah, based on just the queries thus far, there seems to be a lot of interest in the AAU Basketball Team for rising and current high school boys. We are excited about this pilot initiative as well.

TM Basketball Program - AAU League Team - Rising & Current High School Boys

Based on the tremendous response and feedback from parents, we are taking the basketball enthusiasm among the youth in our community to the next level.
The "Triangle Muslims" alhamdulilaah are moving forward w/ forming a team, that will represent the community in AAU leagues, iA. Initially, this will be a pilot effort, but, as always, we will be working with the area masajids to build cohesiveness and a stronger community.

About Coach Jamal Williams
Br. Jamal Williams is a Varsity Assistant Coach at Millbrook High. Coach Williams enters his third season as an assistant coach at Millbrook. He has coached basketball, track, and football between schools in both Virginia and North Carolina. Jamal joined the basketball program at Millbrook after a stint at Randolph Henry High School in Charlotte Court House, Virginia. In his first year on the Wildcat bench, Williams assisted the Varsity team along with being the Head Coach of the Freshman team. 2015-16 begins his second season as a full-time Varsity assistant. He too coached in the Inaugural RDU All-Star Game in 2015 along with Coach McKinley, Rob Brown, Chris Clemons, Andrew Evans, and Brandon Goldsmith. A graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University, Williams works in conjuction with the administration. Away from Millbrook, Coach Williams is a well recognized rapper, actor, and author by the name of Rise Rashid. Since joining the coaching staff, 10 graduates of the basketball program have gone on to play collegiately.
More details about location, costs etc... will be provided shortly. Although this is a pilot program, the goal is to further build the program year-round, so that the youth of our community can further make inroads into the larger society. And also promote Islamic values in action.
